  • Classes fill up quickly.  If you do not see your class as an option in the enrollment portal, your child may not fit the age requirement, or it is already full. Please call the office at (316) 262-2282.
  • Payment at the time of enrollment is encouraged to secure your spot. 

PAYMENT
  • Payment cannot be completed in the enrollment portal. Please use the pay for classes button above. 
  • If you do not see your class in the payment portal, it is because it is full. If you were already enrolled, you have a spot in the class; you just need to call to pay instead. 
  • Please do not pay for a class you are not enrolled in.
  • Paying without enrolling will not ensure a spot in the class.

WINTER 2025 THEATRE CLASS SCHEDULE:

Storybook Academy
Mondays &/or Wednesdays- Jan. 6-May 21 
9:30-11:30 (ages 3-5) – Tammy Quayle 


ENJOY A MOM’S DAY MORNING OFF and a FINE ARTS style PRE-SCHOOL class where your preschooler will learn through movement, art, and best of all: play!  We will jam pack our time with ballet, tap, theatre and arts and crafts while introducing these artists to preschool staples: letters, numbers, the calendar and the weather!  Each week will be themed in their favorite subjects such as but not limited to Encanto, Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Princesses, Pirates, Dinosaurs, Mermaids and more! Storybook Academy will emphasize our Once Upon a Time Shows the week of the shows and the best part?  Your student’s tuition will cover the cost of their ticket to all of our Once Upon a Time shows!  A small snack will be provided.  Please bring a water bottle to class with your child’s name on it and let our staff know if your child has any food allergies.
(THIS CLASS WILL PERFORM IN OUR JR. DANCE RECITAL/NO EVENING OR WEEK-END DANCE CLASS REQUIRED)

Fairytale Theatre
Saturdays – Jan. 4-May 21 
9:30-11:00 (ages 3-5) – Danzel Bond & Rilee Meltzer


45 minutes of drama, music, poetry, and movement all based on a storybook theme for the day followed by 45 minutes of pre-ballet & tap. This class follows the year-round dance schedule of Sept-May & will participate in our Jr. Dance Recital.

Cost: $75 a month

Aristocats, Kids
Tuesdays – Jan. 7-Mar. 4
5:30-7:30 (ages 6-10) – Tiffanie Cain


Based on the beloved Disney animated film, and featuring a jazzy, upbeat score, Disney’s The Aristocats KIDS is a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun, complete with unbelievable twists and turns. The performance will be on Sat., March 8 with an added dress rehearsal on Thurs., Mar. 6.

Creative Dramatics 
Thursdays – Jan. 9-Mar. 6
5:00-6:00 (ages 6-8) – Zoe Johnson


This class will use a mixture of pantomime, poetry, story dramatization, singing, and movement to stimulate creativity and self-expression. Students will learn about the building blocks of drama: Who, What, Where, Why, conflict and resolution as we dramatize fun stories and construct a strong foundation of theatre skills in preparation for Basic Acting. There will be an informal performance on the final day of class.

Mime
Wednesdays – Jan. 8-Mar. 5
6:30-7:30 (ages 8-12) – Zoe Johnson


Mime is the bridge between theatre and dance, an artform of storytelling that uses no words yet is universally understood by all. In this workshop, students will learn elements of mime including illusionary skills, full body movement, and character development. Learn how to isolate each part
of your body and to create stories without ever needing to speak a single word. There will be an informal performance on the final day of class.

From Page to Stage 

Thursdays – Jan. 9-Mar. 6
6:15-7:45 (ages 9-12) - Zoe Johnson


Students will choose a book and create a theatrical production based on the story: Students will be involved in creating the set and costumes and will perform their production for family and friends during the final class on Thursday, Nov. 7th.

Basic Acting 
Saturdays – Jan. 11-March 8
9:30-10:30 (ages 9-12) – Katie Harmon


An introduction to basic skills in acting such as vocal projection, stage
movement, and character development. There will be an informal
performance on the final day of class.

Improv
Wednesdays – Jan. 8-Mar. 5
4:30-6:30 (ages 11 & up) – Lyle Valentine


Anyone Can Do Improv (Even You!) This class will introduce students to the basics of improvisation, character exercises, improv games, and teamwork. Students will learn communication skills, acting skills, and will get to be silly. At the end of this course students will perform an improv show as a troupe!

A Cabaret Through Time
Saturdays – Jan. 11-Mar. 8
10:00 - Noon (ages 11 & up) - Injoy Fountain


This will be a show comprised of POP and THEATRE tunes from different decades. Students will learn songs and choreography for an informal performance on the final day of class.
